Attitude of the wicked - no fear of God, can't see their own sin
Action of the wicked - thinks only of himself & flatters himself, wicked & deceitful words
End of the wicked - still plotting evil on his bed, committing to a sinful course & doesn't rejecting what is wrong
Attitude of those who know the Lord - wowed by God
Action of those who know the Lord - find refuge in the shadow of your wings, feast in your house, drink from His delights
End of those who know the Lord - they continue to know His love and are protected from evil-doers
Attributes of God:
Love - limitless
Faithfulness - same
Righteousness - like mighty mountains
Justice - like the great deep
Preserving human & animals
Unfailing love
Classless - beyond classes
Psalm 37
Do not fret b/c of evil people or be envious of wrong-doers - they will wither or pass away
Refrain from anger & turn from wrath - it only leads to evil. They will be cut off.
v1-11
Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture
Delight yourself in the Lord. He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord - trust in Him. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn.
v21-31
The righteous give generously
They will inherit the land
The Lord upholds him with his hand
They are always generous & lend freely
Their children will be blessed
They will be protected forever
They will inherit the land & dwell in it forever
They utter wisdom
Salvation of the righteous depends on:
v22 God's blessing
v23 God's delight
v24 God's upholding
v28 God's protection
v33 God's presence
v39 God's salvation
v40 God's help, deliverance & salvation
