God makes promises to His people and demands things from them - similarly, He promises to go with us, before us and amongst us, but He also asks us to live His way and stay clear of sin.
24:1-18
The covenant is confirmed - the people are committing themselves to God and to His ways. God knew this was a covenant that was for these people - we are people of His new covenant - He always knew there would be the promise of Jesus and this would be far better. It is by the blood that atonement is made. Lev 17:11 & Heb 9:22 - thankful for Jesus!
Ch 25
The twofold purpose of the tabernacle
A sanctuary for God - where He will dwell amongst His people
A place where He will meet with Moses & give the people all His commands
3 articles of furniture:
The Ark - it is the place where God will meet with Moses
The Table -
The Lampstand
It is only when sin is atoned for that God and people can meet together in peace.
